The museum is housed in a room within the premises of the Waikerie RSL Sub branch and contains many items relating to local South Australians who fought in both World Wars and the Vietnam war including uniforms, firearms, medals, photographs and other wartime memorabilia.
We provide a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for our members, guests, and visitors, and support to our veterans and ex-servicemen and women.
You don’t need to be a member. Everyone is welcome.
Opening hours – bar and museum:
- Tuesday night Poker from 7:30pm til late
- Wednesday, 2:30 pm to 7 pm. Bingo, starts 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm
- Thursday, 2:30 pm to 7 pm. Ode at 6 pm, Members draw 6:30 pm
- Friday 2:30 to 6:30 pm
- Saturday, 2:30 to 6:30 pm
- Sunday/Monday CLOSED
We have an extensive Military Museum (a gold coin donation would be appreciated) and tours can be arranged.
Our meeting room is available for hire for private functions or community events. It has a seated capacity of 70 at small tables or 100 in theatre style. Contact us at waikeriersl@bigpond.com
