Regional Forum a great success!!

The Regional Mainstreet Forum held in Waikerie last week was a resounding success, attracting almost 70 participants over the two-day event.

The Forum commenced on Sunday with a series of business workshops presented by Shelley Cox from Your Business Compass, providing valuable insights and practical strategies for local businesses. On Monday, the program continued with an outstanding lineup of keynote speakers whose expertise, knowledge, and engaging presentations captivated attendees throughout the event.

The atmosphere was overwhelmingly positive, with strong levels of participation, enthusiasm, and collaboration creating an energetic and inspiring environment.

The Waikerie Business Alliance extends its sincere appreciation to the event sponsors and partners whose support made the Forum possible, including the Waikerie Hotel, the Rotary Club, the District Council of Loxton Waikerie, Regional Development Australia, Mainstreet SA, Littlehampton Clay Bricks & Pavers, and media partners Waikerie & District News, Magic 93.1, and WIN TV.

The event was widely praised by attendees, with many highlighting the professionalism of the conference, the quality of the speakers, and the practical value of the content delivered.

One participant described the Forum as “a great event for Waikerie and the Riverland,” while another commented, “The interesting speakers and the positive vibe in the room was uplifting. I’ve been to events in the city that weren’t as good as this one. Well done to all involved for bringing such a fabulous event to Waikerie.”

Another attendee noted, “This conference was on par with the professionalism and quality of keynote speakers at any event I attended during my corporate career. It was a credit to the organising team.”

Others praised the opportunity to hear fresh ideas and perspectives, with one participant stating, “Walking in not knowing what to expect, hearing the ideas of other people was inspiring and gave me hope that others can get on board to make the main street a success.”

Additional feedback included comments such as “Well organised and presented,” “Speakers were great,” and “I loved the variety of speakers and the practical insights they provided, particularly for small business.”

The strong attendance, outstanding speaker program, and overwhelmingly positive feedback demonstrate the growing interest in regional business development and community-led main street revitalisation. The success of the Regional Mainstreet Forum has reinforced Waikerie’s reputation as a proactive and forward-thinking regional community committed to supporting local business growth and economic development.
