The District Council of Loxton Waikerie has proudly supported the establishment of the Waikerie Business Alliance, providing funding for key initiatives such as a Five-Year Strategic Plan, Business Mix Analysis and detailed shopfront and building assessments, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening the local business environment.
The District Council of Loxton Waikerie is a large and diverse local government area in South Australia’s Riverland region, encompassing a large number of townships and rural communities. While Waikerie is a key service centre, it forms part of a broader district that supports a wide range of agricultural, commercial and community activity.
In addition to core infrastructure services, Council provides planning and development assessment, environmental health services, regulatory compliance and long-term strategic planning to guide sustainable growth across the district. It actively supports economic development by working with local businesses, industry groups and investors to encourage investment, tourism and job creation.
